You wonβt find a more honest and straightforward mechanic. I have had bad experiences with mechanics in the past. However, Gary and his crew have helped me with variety of issues including damaged rotors from a faulty wheel bearing assembly to troubleshooting and diagnosing damaged struts and fault ignition coils/spark plugs. He offers sound advice and extremely fair prices, comparable to doing the repairs yourself. They have been able to diagnose and replace broken parts within the working hours of one day. I highly recommend Gary and his team. Solid guys

The positive is the prices have been fair and they've not tried to sell me anything. However, I'm over putting up with the owner's gruffness (at best, straight up rudeness a lot of the time). One time I was offered the flexibility to drop off my car outside of normal hours so I can get to work on time, but after that any time I've come before they open, I get literally barked at that I'm there too early. Today he had the gall to blame me that I wasn't on his schedule, despite making the appointment only two days ago. Then to be charged to check out why my car has a shudder, but not giving any diagnosis at all and saying he didn't feel it. Now I need to try another mechanic. Car trouble is stressful and this place only makes that feeling worse. Customer service is important, but I guess they get enough business not to care.

The owner replaced rotors that did not need replacing. I caution if youβre a woman and choose to get your brakes replaced here. Or anyone who has little knowledge about cars. I was looking to support a neighborhood brake shop and move on from Toyota. I made an appointment for a brake pad change with a timeline where it had to be finished because I had another appointment that after. The timeline was okayed by the owner. Brought the truck in and instead, the owner ended up ordering new rotors without calling me. I called to check on the status because it was close to my needing to leave for my appointment, and only then did he tell me he ordered new rotors and was waiting for their arrival. Said the rotors I had were rusted and needed replacing. I was taken aback because they had just been replaced at Toyota service at my last brake change and Toyotaβs only replaced the rotors after several brake pad changes. I questioned the owner at Emerald and he said the rust affects the braking and was adamant I needed new rotors. I should have said no right there but I wasnβt sure. I picked up my truck well over an hour later than originally scheduled. I also had to rescheduled my other ap

Gary is simply the best! He's serviced my 4Runner with precision and when the dealer (Royal Auto) told me my Volvo XC90 needed new brakes - I immediately went to Gary. He gave me an honest assessment and fair price, but more than anything - told me i have another 5-10k miles on these brakes. Royal Auto can get bent! I'm an Emerald customer for life!

Pulled up at 8:45am to get my side mirror checked out from a hit and run incident yesterday. I saw some minor cracks and wasnβt sure if something could be broken mechanically so figured I should get some quotes at a couple spots. The owner of the shop took a look at my side mirror, asked if I still had the shell, and popped it right back on while telling me βitβs not worth buying a new part,β given that my car is new and the part was going to be $$$. He also double checked that my mirror controls were still functioning, and sent me on my way. Just to sanity check, I also got a quote from the Toyota dealership after for $1379. Grateful for the mechanicβs honest review and service to save me a ton!! I wasnβt able to put on the shell myself because I thought I might crack it more, but I was out in less than 5 minutes and he didnβt take any payment π Thank you so much Emerald Auto! You made my day
